I spend a lot of time upside down. It increases the blood flow to the brain, so it really helps your creativity.
We’ve already talked about photography in the mundane, but how about photography from another angle? What if you took pictures of the mundane and did it while being upside down? For example, it’s easy to photograph a table, but have you ever tried from being underneath it?
Right now, there’s a lot of confusion going on in the world, especially in the Ukraine, where it seems as though everything is wrong side up and no one seems to see a way out. Bearing this issue in mind, I decided to photograph everything upside down today.
The world is wrong side up. It needs to be turned upside down in order to be right side up.
Most things aren’t what they seem, or they can be dramatically changed by a tiny transformation. A doorknob may not look like much, but from another angle, it is a dramatic silver knife protruding from a wooden board.
Are there things in your life that you’re having trouble seeing properly? A friendship? A job? A big decision, like going to college or moving some place new?
Try turning the issue upside down, be it looking at things from another point of view, or making a drastic change. You may like what you find.
